Not everyone who has coronavirus will have symptoms, so people can be spreading the disease without knowing it. The Scottish government are encouraging all visitors to the islands to take a lateral flow test before travelling. If you live in Scotland and you do not have symptoms of coronavirus you can access a free test on this link - https://test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/order-lateral-flow-kits/. The link will direct you to the UK Government site. If you are planning to travel to Shetland, select ‘yes’ when the site asks if you were asked to get tested by a local authority or by an NHS Public Health team.

We have satisfied the Scottish government requirements and are certified "good to go - visit Britain”

During these extraordinary times, we have implemented some changes.

• Guest Contact: The CDC and WHO warn about direct, person-to-person contact as the primary way COVID- 19 is spread. To help alleviate the risk of transmission this way, Luxury Apartments Shetland will be changing to a contactless check-in system. Guests will be given a code to a key box before arriving where they will find the key for their apartment.
• Additional cleaning COVID-19 has raised awareness about the importance of high-touch surface cleanliness. We have added to our already rigorous cleaning standards. In our accommodation not only are we still using the high grade disinfectant anti-bacterial products to maintain our usual high standard, concentrating on high activity areas for example door handles, light switches, utensil handles etc. We are then sanitizing using a fogging machine. After cleaning we are not allowing further access to the property until guests arrives to prevent contamination.
• Check in time has changed to 3pm. We understand that this maybe inconvenient but it is really important that you allow us the time for additional cleaning.  Please help us by observing this time.
